We have been very busy getting ready for everything. We have been solidifying parts and drum ideas. Yesterday we finished structuring and tightening up a few parts in the songs. We finished up tempos and put together a few alternate ideas for the songs until everyone got something we could collectively track with. Today David mapped out his drums in great detail. It's amazing hearing how some of his new fills and subtle changes are really bringing the songs to life. We have some ideas for programming but more on that later... We start drum tracking tomorrow! Wooh!
P.S. Enik got owned in Call Of Duty 3 and David (Briggs) found a new way to punk him in that game that had hilarious results (video coming soon hopefully)...

Preproduction Day 2.
Today was our first real work day with James Paul Wisner. We began the actual process of preproduction which includes things like figuring out which tempos are best for certain songs and re-writing parts and fitting things together to make the songs as good as they can possibly be. We are very excited about how things are changing and developing with our music and already are noticing huge improvements in the songs and our ideas as they unfold. For the record: James Paul Wisner is an incredibly gifted producer. It's an honor to wander the halls of his amazing home and see Dashboard Confessional and Underoath plaques framed on the walls. It's amazing to hear stories about our friends and heroes from other bands... It's hard not to feel blessed when surrounded by such incredible talent. Tomorrow we will begin some rehearsal and fix up a few loose ends on some of the songs. We are hoping to add some photos and video as soon as we figure out the best way to do it. - Aaron/BTP

Travel Day.
We met up at the early hour of 7 AM at our rehearsal space to make sure everyone was on time and had everything. We got to the Irvine airport about 9:30 AM or so and checked in our gear aand luggage. Our first flight was to Houston and took off at about 11 Am or so. We got to Houston and had a layover where we tried some sweet BBQ at the airport and wandered around a bit to kill some time. Our flight left around 7 PM Houston time and we got to Florida around 10:30 PM Florida time. We met up with James Paul Wisner at the airport and headed to our new home for the next month. We are staying in the same place My American stayed when they did Hiding Inside the Horrible Weather. Pretty sweet. More to come later...

Pre-production. Day 1.
This isn't officially day 1, but things have been really busy over here in BTP land. We have been busy refining parts, recording MIDI, raising money, and putting together all the last minute travel arrangements. We have an extensive packing list and some exciting ideas we can't wait for all of you to hear. Andre has been really stepping up his parts for the MIDI production on this recording. Enik and I have been looking forward to a lot of programming and have so many ideas. The Daves are solid and Johnny is hilarious... things are going well for us. We fly to Florida on monday and hopefully we'll have some pics and video soon to share. - Aaron/BTP

Introduction.
Hello. My name is Aaron Edwards. I play guitar and do some programming and back-up vocals in the band Burning Tree Project. The band consists of Enik Lin (Vocals, Guitar), David Kim (Bass, Vocals), Johnny Mora (Guitar), Andre Harris (Keyboards, Screams), David Briggs (Drums), and myself. So far in our career as a band we have toured all over, had a few videos on MTV, experienced countless blessings through fans, friends, churches, tours, bands, festivals, and other ways I don't even know how to describe or explain. This blog is my small attempt at keeping people in the loop as to what is going on with us and our busy band life. Add it and don't be shy about commenting and saying hello! - Aaron/BTP
